The Potting Shed is a brand new, comfortable and relaxing tiny house on the property and is separate from the main lodging building. Per Illinois state law, smoking is not permitted in the main house or the Potting Shed. However, guests should feel welcome to consume outside the shed and then step back inside to chill. The Potting Shed offers all the comforts of home, including comfy furniture, a fully stocked snack bar for those late-night munchies and high-speed internet for streaming funny videos on the flat-screen TV.

Originally planning to open a bed and breakfast in Chicago they quickly changed their minds when they fell in love with Galena, a small town just a few hours from Chicago.
When Robert and Douglas aren’t taking exceptional care of their guests, you can find them kicking back with some of their favorite hobbies. Douglas can be found knitting when he has some downtime, while Robert prefers to sew or watch movies. They’re both avid skiers as well oftentimes taking their own getaways in pursuit of great ski adventures.
When asked who inspires them, Douglas responded, “Robert! He is so in tune with everything and never settles for less than the best in everything he does!” Robert responded, “Douglas does. He’s one of the few people I admire, respect, and look up to.”
