This masterpiece of design and craftsmanship was renovated as recently as 2009. But it feels much more recent. Each room comes with its private bathroom stocked with luxurious amenities, a tub for two, and a fireplace to shake off that occasional Northern California chill. And for a full-on au naturel experience, a private outdoor soaking tub comes with several rooms. Ahh, the decadence!
While there are common areas comfortable for small group gatherings, secluded alcoves and seating areas are but steps away for more peaceful endeavors. The Inn’s warmth invites re-connection and romance. Surrounded by 10 acres of premier scenic landscape, there is ample space for these and other pursuits of the soul across the grounds of this lovely getaway.

History & Attractions
Eden Vale Inn’s history dates back to 1919 when it was a simple hay barn for a dairy farm built by a pioneering family homesteading the area. It was worked until 1940 when it fell into disuse and lay undisturbed until 1985 when new ownership had a more romantic vision for its future.
That vision became reality in the form of a warm and inviting inn. Inspired by the classic Napa Valley wine country farmhouse, the current owners transformed the property into the luxurious sanctuary it is today.
Although shiny nearby neighbors Sacramento and Lake Tahoe are sure to allure, Placerville has an identity all its own worth exploring. The gold rush days are long gone, but there is a rich history reflected in the many interesting museums and sites around town that will make a worthwhile couple of days.
Those seeking to venture further afield have a myriad of choices. For nature lovers wanting to stretch their legs, there are several beautiful state forests close by where peace and solitude beckon. And world-famous Yosemite National Park is undoubtedly worth a day’s investment if only for a drive-through.
Dining Options
Breakfast is the one meal provided each day, and the chef pours heart and soul into the morning’s offering. Sourced from local county farms and the Inn’s own gardens, each item on the menu is made from scratch and prepared just minutes prior to its presentation. Interestingly, breakfast is served at 15-minute intervals from 9:15 to 9:45. Coffee and tea are served at your door each morning by 7:26. Wonder if there’s an 8 mph speed limit!
But don’t despair. For those who desire a less structured breakfast schedule and want to get their Gordon Ramsey on (sans disparagement), feel free to take advantage of the outdoor kitchen and its covered pavilion. Fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and glassware, four-burner stove, microwave, and dishwasher, this alone is a deal-sealer for those who want to flex their culinary muscles.
