The Cottages at Schroeder Hill
The three Cottages at Schroeder Hill are all unique and built by Carl Shroeder, a great tradesman who lived in Hermann during the 1800s. He was a stonemason and woodworker, among many other things. Testimonies of his work are evident in the Schroder House which was, his residence. A stone archway leads to the cottage, and decorative stone elements are in the windows.
The Schroeder Stonewerks and the Violin Shop are other private cottages at the Inn. The structures of the Inn at Hermannhof display the German ancestry of the early settlers. All three cottages at Schroeder Hill are private.
