Social Media Manager and Content Creator

bnbfinder is looking for a mid-level social media manager and content creator to manage our social media channels (Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and more) and produce engaging, platform specific content that resonates with our target audiences and drives travelers to book reservations with properties on our site. This person will approach content creation and curation from a storytelling perspective, and will own day-to-day execution of social media outreach, engagement, monitoring and reporting. This role is based in Austin, Texas, and combines creativity with strategic thinking focusing on creating various types of content such as text posts, shorts/videos, graphics , and photos to support our various channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy: Create a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives. This includes identifying target audiences, setting clear objectives, and determining the most effective platforms and content types.
  • Content Development: Create, edit, publish, and share daily content (original copy, images, video, and HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action. This includes creating platform-specific content strategies and driving UGC campaigns.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure a consistent message across all social media channels in line with the organization’s branding, culture, and objectives. This includes adapting content to fit the platform/audience while maintaining the brand’s voice and tone.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in marketing, social media, design tools, and applications. Utilize this knowledge to make content innovative and engaging.
  • Audience Engagement: Engage with the company’s social media audience by responding to comments and messages. Foster community participation and conversation to build relationships with followers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to develop social media campaigns that help achieve corporate marketing goals. Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.
  • Analytics: Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews. Leverage analytics tools to gauge the success of content efforts, understanding what works and why, then using these insights to inform future content creation and channel focus.
  • Visual Design: Create basic graphics and videos tailored for each social media platform using design software. This includes understanding what type of content works best on what platform, optimizing content accordingly.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter, or similar role.
    Hands-on experience with content management systems and knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency in using software like Adobe Suite, Canva, video editing tools, Sprout Social, Google Analytics etc.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms’ best practices, including posting times, content formats, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to adapt content style for different platforms and audiences.
  • Creative mindset, with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas to colleagues and pitch concepts effectively.
  • Experience in influencer marketing and community engagement is required
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years experience preferably with ad agency and specifically social media management and digital content creation
  • Problem solving ability to work proactively and independently with limited direction
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred and a portfolio is required

Job Type: Full time salaried position currently working hybrid in Austin, Texas

Pay: From $60,000 per year depending upon qualifications and experience
