Lavender Inn was built in the 20th century as a private home. This amazing Napa Valley B&B features a wraparound porch, gray wooden siding, and a lovely flower garden filled with aromatic lavender. Throughout this elegant and cozy enclave, the bold and vibrant colors of Provence are carefully blended with modern design elements in order to create an inviting setting guests are sure to love. This cozy Yountville bed and breakfast was voted one of the best 50 Small Hotels in the US by readers of Conde Nast Traveler.
As a guest, you will enjoy the comforts and convenience of home with fantastic amenities, such as fireplaces, onsite parking, internet access, freshly baked cookies, and complimentary coffee and wine every day.
Guests will surely appreciate how French provincial accessories and fabrics in green, blue, lavender, yellow, and red adorn the nine guest rooms. Rooms are outfitted with king-size beds, fireplaces, and spacious, brightly painted bathrooms, making Lavender Inn an excellent spot to relax and unwind.
In the 1850s, Lavender Inn started as a country farmhouse on Captain John Grigsby’s ranch, and it is among the oldest homes in the Napa Valley. In the 1860s, the Lavender Inn was moved to its present location.
It was expanded in 1905, when John Lee Webber, County Supervisor, made the house his family’s permanent residence. This beautiful building remained in the family until the death of Nancy Grigsby Webber in 1929. Eventually, the famous Webber House was run as a bed-and-breakfast inn.
Lavender Inn is iconic and bills itself as a luxurious French country inn. While you might not feel transported to Bordeaux or Provence, the rustic furnishings and dazzling palette of soft, rich yellows provide you with sufficiently Gallic echoes that you will certainly enjoy. After careful renovation, the Lavender Inn became part of the prestigious Four Sisters Inns collection in September 1999, which is comprised of the original Webber House and separate cottages on the grounds.
