West Hill House B&B is set on a quaint, green rolling hillside in Warren, Vermont. The charming 160-year-old building is surrounded by gardens and trees. The friendly innkeepers, Peter and Susan, are eager to help you feel right at home and are available throughout your stay to ensure you enjoy your time as much as possible.
Romantic, cozy charm
All nine guest rooms and suites at West Hill House B&B combine elegant decor with laid-back charm. Each room is uniquely themed and offers something different. All accommodations feature a jetted tub or steam-shower, plush beds with memory foam mattresses, heating, air conditioning, signature bath products, reading lamps, a hairdryer, cozy bathrooms, complimentary reusable water bottles, and high-speed WiFi. All rooms feature a gas “wood stove” or a gas fireplace.
Depending on which room you stay in, you can enjoy special features such as private spiral staircase entryways, pine wood floors, and private terraces. Many of the rooms have private entrances.
A healthy breakfast to start the day
As a guest at West Hill House B&B, you’ll begin each day with a complimentary New England-style breakfast each morning. The tantalizing three-course meal is served in the Dining Room at a 12-person dining table each morning, or on the Garden Terrace in the summer, weather permitting. The breakfast includes fruit juice, homemade bread or muffins, a fruit dish, a hot entree, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and homemade treats. The innkeeper, Susan, is well known for her delicious cooking and baked goods!
Dinner (and drinks!) at the Inn
The innkeepers provide recommendations to a variety of local restaurants and are glad to help with making reservations ahead of time. Private home cooked dinners are available at the inn for groups of 6 or more resident guests (must be booked in advance.) If you happen to be lucky enough to be staying at the inn on Thanksgiving or Christmas day, you can enjoy a delicious, traditional holiday home cooked meal.
There’s no better way to fully unwind and relax during a stay at West Hill House B&B than with a glass of wine or a cold local Vermont craft beer. The inn also has a Scottish-style Single Malt Scotch Bar that serves up drinks until 10:00 PM each evening.
A perfect base to explore the Mad River Valley
West Hill House B&B is located in the Mad River Valley, which is an epicenter of skiing, hiking, food, shopping and outdoor activities. The Mad River Valley has no shortage of things to do and explore year round! In the summer go hiking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, golfing, biking, attend concerts, and visit waterfalls. In the winter go skiing, snowshoeing and cross country skiing and in the fall drive around to see all the spectacular fall foliage, perhaps even stumbling upon one of New England’s famed covered bridges.
Just up the road from the B&B is the Mad River Taste Place where you can sample and buy a huge variety of Vermont artisan cheeses and other artisan food and drinks. Nearby is the home of America’s favorite ice-cream, Ben and Jerry’s, where you can buy ice cream direct from the factory’s scoop shop. There are plenty of dining, shopping, and day trip options in the Mad River Valley as well which are all just a quick drive from West Hill House B&B.
